Above the fold: Layout design for cover of the Science Times

Commissioned by the New York Times' Science Times, this rendering was used to
illustrate a January 7, 2003 cover article entitled Signs of Survival in a Frozen Forest.
The article explored various behaviors adopted by animals that aid in their survival
under the most extreme conditions.
